Héctor Botija Manrubia
He began his studies in classical guitar in 2009 at the Prat de Llobregat Music Association with the Mexican guitarist Juan Ramón Arceo García. In 2012 he continued his studies at the Tremolo Conservatory, where he received classical guitar classes from the guitarist Bernat Padrosa and classes on music theory (harmony, history, language, etc.) from the hand of the composer and pianist Jordi Lalanza. In 2013 he began the Degree in Musicology at the universidad Autónoma of Barcelona and finished it in 2018 with the Mention in Historical Musicology and the Mention in Musical Management and Heritage. In 2017 he studied at the Luthier School of Musical Arts with maestro Fernando Rodríguez until, in 2019, when he entered the Superior Conservatory of Music at Liceu of Barcelona. Currently, he is studying the Higher Degree in Classical and Contemporary Music with a specialty in pedagogy. As a soloist and chamber musician, he has received regular classes from different musicians such as guitarist Guillem Pérez-Quer, British pianist Alan Branch and double bass player Joaquín Arrabal, among others. At the same time, he has participated in pedagogy training courses where he has worked on different methodologies: Willems, Dalcroze, Montessori, Martenot, etc. Since 2016 he has worked teaching classical guitar, music language and music theory classes in various schools. 2015 he began to sing in various choirs with which he has performed nationally and internationally (Iceland, Poland, Slovakia). He is currently part of the Al·lira Choir.
