Lourdes Duñó
Cello
Born in Barcelona. She began her musical studies at the age of five. She has studied at the Conservatori Superior de Música del Liceu and at the Conservatori Superior Municipal de Música de Barcelona. She has also done several courses abroad. She has a professional piano degree and a superior degree in cello. She has studied cello with different teachers, including Richard Tolkowsky, Elias Arizcuren, Marçal Cervera ... She was a member of the Orquesta de Joventuts Musicals de Catalunya and the Joven Orquesta Nacional de España in Madrid. She was chosen to participate as an active member in the Master Classes of M. Rostropovitch in Madrid. She was a professor at the Conservatory of Cervera, participating in the International Summer Festivals. She has performed with various chamber ensembles. She is currently a member of the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra and the National Orchestra of Catalonia and a cello teacher at the Luthier School of Music and Dance.
