Gustavo Them has performed as soloist with orchestras such as the "Baltimore Symphony Orchestra", the "Omaha Symphony Orchestra", the "Panamerican Symphony Orchestra" or the "Baltimore Chamber Orchestra." In Catalonia, he performed the concert of Aranjuez at the "Palacio de congresos" in Tarragona and "Teatro Fortuny" in Reus with the Camerata XXI. Born in Barcelona, he started guitar studies at the Luthier Music School and obtained the upper guitar title at Oscar Esplá Conservatory in Alicante, continuing studies in the United States with Manuel Barrueco, graduating with the "Artist Diploma" at the "Peabody Conservatory" from the "Johns Hopkins University" in Baltimore, Maryland. He was a professor for seven years at the "St. Mary College of Maryland" and the "Baltimore School for the Arts" in the United States. He has performed on the Radio in programs of Catalonia Music, Radio Barcelona, WBJC of Baltimore, Stereo Lima of Peru, KVNO of Omaha etc. Besides teaching, he directed several guitar orchestras. He also teaches master classes and has lectured on different musical themes. In addition to his classical musical activity, he collaborates with popular and modern music groups such as Rosa Zaragoza, La Banda de en Vinaixa, and with The Dúo guitar and bass player where he amalgamates classic, jazz and popular music. He has recorded three CDs and his concert activity has taken him to the United States, Spain, Portugal, Germany, France, Austria, Peru and Switzerland, in auditions such as the "Library of Congress of Washington DC, "The Museum of the Nation" of Lima, the "Konzerthaus of Vienna" and the "Heinz Hall" of Pittsburgh.
